FAQs
1. What is rubber high temperature hose used for?
Rubber high temperature hose is used for saturated and superheated steam applications up to 250 PSI and 205°C. It is commonly used in refineries, shipyards, chemical plants, steel mills, foundries, and heavy industrial applications, including tire-curing bagomatic presses.
2. What construction allows this hose to handle extreme heat?
The hose has an extreme heat-resistant EPDM black tube, one or two braids of brass-coated high-tensile steel wire reinforcement, and an extreme heat- and weather-resistant EPDM black cover. This combination lets it operate continuously from -40°C to +205°C while meeting/exceeding IS:10655 Type 3 and BS 5342 Type 2 standards.
3. Can this hose be used interchangeably for steam and hot water?
No. The hose should not be alternated between steam and hot water service, as switching between the two can affect performance and service life. It should be dedicated to the specific application it was installed for.
