1. What is rubber steam hose used for?
Rubber steam hose is designed to convey saturated steam to and from various points in a process. It is used across printing, chemical, foundry/furnace, food and pharmaceutical, and hot water & steam industries, and is made from synthetic EPDM rubber to handle continuous steam service.
2. What is the difference between single wire and double wire rubber steam hose?
The single-wire variant has a black EPDM tube and cover with single-braided high-tensile steel wire reinforcement, rated for saturated steam up to 185°C (-40°C to +185°C). The double-wire variant uses additional steel wire reinforcement, allowing it to withstand higher saturated steam temperatures up to 220°C (-40°C to +220°C) and conforms to IS 10655 Type III.
3. How do I choose between single wire and double wire steam hose?
The choice depends on the maximum steam temperature in your process: use the single-wire hose for applications up to 185°C, and the double-wire hose for higher-temperature saturated steam applications up to 220°C. Both offer high flexibility and uniform thickness for reliable steam conveyance.
